Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and Karos Limited, a Delaware corporation, trading as "Karos Labs"("Karos Labs", "we", "us"). They cover the Karos software at app.karoslabs.com ("Karos"), the website karoslabs.com and any service we provide. By creating an account, starting a plan or using the website, you accept these terms. If you use Karos for a company, you accept them for that company and confirm you are allowed to.

1. What Karos does

Karos is AI marketing for builders. With your permission, it:

  • reads your public website, your public social accounts, your competitors' public pages and how ChatGPT, Gemini and Claude answer questions about you;
  • plans campaigns around a goal you set and drafts posts for them every day;
  • waits for you to approve, edit or skip each draft;
  • publishes what you approved, only to accounts you connect;
  • counts requests and leads through tracked links and forms, and reads how your posts perform on connected accounts.

What Karos publishes by itself depends on the channel. Today, single X posts publish after you approve them. LinkedIn posts wait for you to press Post now. Instagram posts publish once Meta clears the connection, and until then come ready for you to post. TikTok videos, Reddit replies and newsletters come ready for you to post or send yourself. The channels pages show the current state of each one.

We improve Karos all the time. We may add, change or remove features. If we remove something you pay for, we tell you first.

2. Your account

  • You must be at least 18 and able to make a binding contract.
  • Karos is for business use. Give us accurate details and keep them up to date.
  • Keep your sign-in safe. You are responsible for what happens in your account, including what people you invite to it do there.
  • Tell us at once at [email protected] if you think someone else has used your account.

3. Early access and the free preview

Karos is in early access. You can apply, or join with a pilot code we gave you, and we open a few accounts each week. Before you pay, you get a free preview: what Karos found about your business and your first drafts. We may decline or end early access at our discretion. Some features are new and may change quickly.

4. Plans, credits and billing

  • Starter: $29 a month, with 10,000 credits a month.
  • Pro: $199 a month, with 150,000 credits a month.

Credits are how Karos counts the work it does for you: the drafts it writes, the posts it sends and your chats with Karos. You see an estimate before anything runs, and campaign planning is free. Your plan's credits reset every month and do not roll over. When your credits run out, work that needs credits waits until your credits reset.

Plans are month to month. Your plan renews each month and we charge the payment method on file until you cancel. Prices are in US dollars, before tax; we add taxes where the law requires it. Payments are handled by our payment processor, Stripe, under its own terms. If a payment fails, we may pause the work that uses credits until it is paid. If we change a price, we tell you before the new price applies to you, and you can cancel before it does.

5. Cancelling

You can cancel any time in your account or by writing to [email protected]. Your plan then stops renewing and stays active until the end of the month you paid for. We do not refund part months, except where the law requires it. Credits end when your plan ends.

6. Connected accounts

You can connect accounts such as X, LinkedIn, Meta (Instagram and Facebook), TikTok and Google. You connect them yourself, through each platform's own sign-in, and you choose what to grant. Karos acts only within the permissions you grant and only to do what you asked. We store the access tokens encrypted. You can disconnect any account at any time, in Karos or in the platform's own settings. Disconnecting stops Karos from publishing or reading there.

7. Approval and publishing

Nothing goes out until you approve it. Karos never publishes a draft you have not approved. When you approve a draft, you instruct us to publish it as approved, on the account and at the time you chose, or to hand it to you to post. Platforms can delay, change, limit or remove posts; we do not control them.

8. Your content

"Your content" means what you give Karos (your business information, brand materials, files, photos and messages), what Karos reads from your connected accounts, and the drafts Karos makes for you.

  • You own your content. Drafts become yours once you approve them, and you may use them anywhere.
  • You give us a licence to store, copy, process, adapt and publish your content only to provide Karos to you, to keep it secure and to meet the law. This licence ends when your content is deleted, except for copies we must keep by law.
  • You confirm you have the rights to the content you give us, including any photos, logos, music and the likeness of people in them.
  • You are responsible for what you approve and publish, and for checking that it is true, lawful and allowed by the platforms you post on.

9. About AI drafts

Karos uses AI models to write drafts. AI can be wrong, incomplete or similar to what others receive. Read every draft before you approve it, and check facts, claims, prices and names. We do not promise any particular result, such as followers, leads, sales or rankings in AI answers. Marketing results depend on many things outside our control.

10. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Karos or the website to:

  • break the law or help anyone else break it;
  • publish false, misleading or deceptive claims, including fake reviews or hidden ads;
  • send spam, or post in bulk in a way the platforms forbid;
  • impersonate a person, brand or organisation, or hide who is behind an account;
  • harass, threaten or defame anyone, or post hateful or sexual content involving minors;
  • infringe anyone's copyright, trademark, privacy or other rights;
  • try to get into systems or data you are not allowed to reach, disrupt the service, upload malicious code, or copy, resell or reverse engineer Karos except where the law allows it.

We may refuse to publish, or remove from Karos, content that we reasonably believe breaks these rules.

11. Platform rules

Each platform you post on has its own terms, such as the rules of X, LinkedIn, Meta, TikTok, Reddit and Google. You agree to follow them. If a platform limits, suspends or closes your account, we are not responsible, but we will help where we can.

12. What we own

Karos, the website, our software, designs, methods, templates and the Karos and Karos Labs names and marks belong to us or our licensors. These terms give you the right to use Karos while your plan is active, and nothing more. If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them without owing you anything.

13. E-commerce managed service

Karos Labs also runs e-commerce accounts end to end for some clients, as a managed service. That work is set out in a separate agreement, and that agreement controls if it conflicts with these terms. For that service, you grant our team access to your seller account, for example Amazon Seller Central, through the platform's own user permissions. We recommend the permission levels in our access guide. You stay the account owner and can change or remove our access at any time.

14. Other services

Karos works with services we do not control, such as the platforms you connect, AI model providers and our payment processor. Their own terms and privacy policies apply to your use of them. We are not responsible for their services.

15. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data. It is part of these terms.

16. Suspension and ending

You can stop using Karos and close your account at any time. We may suspend or close your account if you break these terms, if your use puts others or our systems at risk, or if the law requires it. Where we reasonably can, we tell you first and give you time to fix the problem. When your account closes, you can ask us for an export of your content first. Sections that by their nature should continue after the end, such as ownership, disclaimers, limits of liability and indemnity, continue.

17. Disclaimers

Karos, the website and our services are provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we give no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not promise that Karos will always be available, free of errors or secure, or that any marketing result will be achieved.

18. Limits of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Karos Labs and its officers, employees and agents are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill, arising from Karos, the website or our services. Our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred US dollars (USD $100) if you paid nothing. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.

19. Indemnity

You agree to cover Karos Labs against claims, damages, losses and costs (including reasonable legal fees) that come from the content you approve or publish, your misuse of Karos, your breach of these terms or your breach of any law or anyone's rights.

20. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute about these terms, Karos or our services goes to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Delaware, unless a signed agreement with us says otherwise.

21. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We change the date at the top when we do, and for a material change we tell you by email or in Karos before it takes effect. If you keep using Karos after that, the new terms apply. If you do not accept them, you can cancel.

22. General

These terms, the Privacy Policy and any signed agreement with us are the whole agreement between us about Karos. If a signed agreement conflicts with these terms, the signed agreement controls. If part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies. If we do not enforce a right at once, we have not given it up. You may not transfer these terms without our written consent; we may transfer them as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of our business.
